Calculate the number of DEV/MPT for the software license

The RMS software license is limited based upon the number of DEV/MPT's. In order to calculate the number of DEV/MPT's that are required, please use the following overview:

  • When a device is added to an RMS system, this creates a DEV. This DEV is counted towards the limit.

  • Should a measurement device with one channel be added to an RMS system, this creates a DEV and the corresponding MPT. This MPT is counted towards the limit, but the DEV is not.

  • Should a measurement device with multiple channels be added to an RMS system, this creates a DEV and the corresponding MPT's. These MPT's are counted towards the limit, but the DEV is not.
