Does RMS use a WiFi system that had already been tested by any other 3rd party?

As of today, the RMS is not a WiFi based solution but a wireless solution.

RMS offers industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) radio bands; to date (03.01.2017) 868 MHz only. 915 MHz and 2.4 GHz are in the pipeline.

Even though WiFi communicates on the 2.4 GHz band, the RMS will still not be a WiFi based solution.
