Direction of Propagation¶
The electromagnetic wave is a transverse wave (a wave in which the medium vibrates at right angles to the direction of propagation), the electric (E field) and magnetic (B field) fields oscillate in the direction perpendicular to the direction of propagation or the wave of travel.
