System Settings

The menu "Tools" > "Setup" > "System" contains all settings that concern the overall system. They should be checked first of all and set accordingly for the application.

Security settings
Allow deletion of measuring points Measuring points (data set) are irretrievably deleted
- Do not allow:
Deleting of measuring points not allowed. Archiving however is possible if the option is licensed and the user has sufficient permission
Allow deletion of users Allow/Not allow deleting users
Enter password for changes The user must enter the password every time he wants to make a change. Concerns: setup, acknowledgment of alarms, adjustment, calibration
Enter reason for changes The user must enter the reason every time he wants to make a change. Concerns: setup, acknowledgment of alarms, adjustment, calibration
Do not reuse password How many times an old password may not be reused
Change password to The password must be changed after the set number of days
Min. length Minimum length of the password

Block user after The user is blocked after the set number of login errors

LDAP
Server path LDAP server address. If credentials are required to access the LDAP server: Ask your system administrator for access permission for the identity of the IIS Application Pool. The user name in RMS need to be the same as in the operation system (e.g. Windows).
Document path
Document path2 Storage location for documents on the web server.
This is the file folder location created during installation of RMS see Section 3.7 of E-IM-RMS-WEB.

1 Status emails are sent at midnight; the user must have the right "System notification".
