Outside the validation functions, is it possible to set devices in simulator mode to check alarms?

You can set all Mini loggers in simulator mode by selecting "Tools" > "Devices" > "Read Properties"

For standard loggers with digital probes you can set the probe to simulator mode with the RMS-Config software.
